    As it is that time of year again, it is once again time for our Annual Soldiers Of Demise XMAS Giveaway!


    As everyone loves EA Games and their crate system, i thought it would be an awesome idea to create our very own Key & Crate System FailFish


    Q: So how much money do i need to pay?
    A: None.


    Keys and crates are gained randomly by simply playing ( And no, You cannot AFK to gain free drops ) Actively playing will only earn you these drops.


    Opening these crates will give you a chance to win one of the many games added to the loot boxes, or if you are extra lucky, a piece of Coal! Kappa


    Games will be added over the next few weeks, as I am waiting for the steam deals to start ( which is on the 21st ) But i will still be adding games Pre-Sale.


    While i am still adding games, i would like you all to provide me with 3 games you would like to see in the crates, so i can get a good idea of what to add in weeks to come.
    If someone has already mentioned a game and you would also like it, please suggest it again!

    I have used the Sign in through steam method to grab your steamid so only you can open your crates ( Don't worry, it does not provide us with your password, Just your SteamID & Name )

    The Xmas Key & Crate system will be available from 19:00 ( 7:00 PM GMT+0 ) this evening, and will be Initially open for Members Only. It will then be opened up for all @ 21:00 ( 9:00 PM GMT+0 ).

    Not having death runs on the vanilla one, am trying to keep the maps built for that vanilla feel, stock + well made custom ones.


    Any maps that are currently causing issues, or have bugs, i am already removing. Those fun/deathrun type of maps will be only for our modded servers in the future ( if any get made for the new update )

    Need some suggestions for new additions, replacements, removals.

    > You will now have 4 chances to win 2 games whilst in the Bronze League.
    > Fixed in-chat game text showing green text incorrectly.
    > Leaving the server no longer counts as a loss.
    > Losing Promotion games now only count if you are a starting Zombie/Survivor. ( This was working correctly for winning a promotion game, you cannot win a promo game if you join late )

    > Master tier now ranks via Skill Rating ( which was the original plan ) - more updates to follow. The master tier will soon work more like a traditional ranking system based on player performance. The system currently works this way, but improvements are still needed for players to understand it this way.

    Hey all, with news of the recent release of 3.0, we (finally) have some news to share will everyone!

    To being with, our EU1 server will be transforming into a 24/7 Vanilla based server, with our new ranking system. Our plan is to run the mod over the next few weeks in preparation for 3.0. Most bugs and issues have been resolved, it is now time to run the mod in a live environment to resolve any further bugs before 3.0 is fully released. The current version of the game, some functions were never designed.. well, and although it is possible to fix them, they will and should be automatically resolved in the new version of the game. This mainly affects the statistics for IED & Grenades, it has always been an issue with all other mods created for the servers, but generally never a huge issue. As of tomorrow ( 11th of November ) i will be opening the EU1 server permanently. The current stats will be resetting due to the bugs found in the initial test that recorded incorrect values.

    After some discussion with our current management and upcoming release of 3.0, i am pleased to announce a new Community Manager to join our ranks and assist with the transition into hosting a Vanilla server along with the Management of our community. Therefore i would like you all to welcome our newest Community Manager : Leo! Leo has shown a great amount of passion for ZPS and towards our community over the past few years, which has also made it a very easy decision to make. Leo will be taking an active role over from Cody who has decided to take a little break from the active duties ( i hope ^^ he is not allowed to leave ). This now means you can contact either myself, Xerox, Mike or Leo for any issues server/forum/community related issues. Along with this change, Leo has also created us new public steam group, which is very much long overdue. We will be using it to announce public events and help regarding the servers. It will also include events relating to the upcoming servers and changes. Details on the group will be posted shortly. Once it is ready, i will also make a front page announcement with the details. I will be opening the server around 3:00PM ( GMT + 0 ) - I may try and add a countdown this time for those different time zones ;)

    The plan is to have a vanilla server, as well as the new mod ( of which i have been working more on ) when the new ZPS is released. I have also started work on a brand new stats system for the vanilla server, that will include better web interface than the one currently embedded within jxmod.


    We can easily host a vanilla server, but i do not believe it will take off with the player base zps currently has.. To compete with the current populated communities that have ran vanilla servers for a while, without any unique features ( like a stats system ), will be a struggle in the current state of ZPS.


    I will try and complete the new stats system plugin, pre zps update, and we can always have a go at populating one. Unless anyone else has any additional / new ideas on what to include on the vanilla server?

    Changes - JX MOD 1.4.3 - 05/09/2016


    - Point System Updates.
    As the new system has been in place for just over 2 months, it is time to make some small adjustments from the feedback i have been given.


    - Zombies now gain 400% more points from Damage.
    -- Although the new point system was designed to give more points generally, i think the point gain for humans was far more rewarding in some cases, hopefully this will fill the gap.


    - Saviour Points received have been doubled.
    -- The Point system was designed to force team-play, it was also designed to grant more points than the old point distribution system with both the Saviour and Team Point additions.


    - Team Points will now grant more points.
    -- You will gain anywhere between x1-x3 more points, depending on the situation.

    Update - JX MOD 1.4.2 - 05/09/2016 (DB Update)


    - Dailies now have max levels. This actually was scripted in a month or so ago, but did not affect those who already had high levels for each daily. This will only affect those who had a level higher than its max. You will still gain levels each time you complete a daily, but its 'Needed' value will remain at the max level.


    As an example;
    You had level 30 survivor kills, which required 2350 kills. Its max level is now 5, of which now you only need to obtain 475 kills per day.


    Hopefully this makes dailies more fun for those again with the higher levels ;)
