    I know i have been lazy with keeping the info here up to date as i will have to move to another place due to my job but here is the info about the next update:

    • Sharpshooter perk will be released
    • Berserker, Demolitionist and Commande perks are reworked
    • New incap system: zeds will have weak points and there will be different ways of incapitation (knock-down, stun, panic, etc)
    • Balancing: total ammo count of most weapons incresed (this is already live)

    gonna summarize all facts about the next update as the "old" post was affected by the data loss too:

    • sharpshooter will be the next perk to be released
    • 2 weapons have been confirmed: good olf crossbow and lever action rifle
    • new map: soviet- stylish prison
    • dynamiy difficulty adjustment: performance of the players will be monitored during a match and difficulty will be adjusted (dont know how much) to ensure a challanging but do-able game expierence
    • hans might get a nerfed/ changed

    • no time for the update known yet but i think it will still take some time


    EDIT:

    • small update: improved game data tracking aaaaaaaaand hans melee damaged got decreased :O (on hard only)
    • there was a live stream with one of the kf2 devs and pvp has been confirmed there, as far as i know the following game modes:
    • 2 teams competing who can survive longer (they cant hurt each other directly but can use zeds: rage fps scs, etc)
    • 1 player plays as clot who has to run away and survive as long as possible while humans with knifes hunt him
    • 1 player as boss (pat or hans?) against humans


    EDIT:

    • pvp has been officially confirmed: 6v6 pvp survival, similar to l4d i think: survivors play against zeds which can be controlled by humans
    • if humans make it to the final wave 1 player will play as the patriach against them

    • all weapons of the sharpshooter perk have been confirmed:
    • lever action rifle
    • crossbow

    • M14 EBR
    • horzine railgun

    • next update will NOT contain sharpshooter (BOO!) perk but only LAR and crossbow as off-perk weapons, sharpshooter will be released with an later update
    • this however makes me hope the update will happen in the near future and sharpshooter would only delay it :D

    new post about the upcoming update, mostly summarzing previous posts but with a bit further information:

    concerning 7dtd: hope we can play on a random gen map soon again, the current one is really small although i wasnt happy with same changes of random gen maps that happened in the last updates eitehr xD

    i agree with zassho, the huge amount of time some ppl invested in all the mods and servers is outstanding


    also its nice to get a bit information about the origins of sod, which i wasnt familiar with although ive joined quite some time ago


    the class system sounds really great, looking forward to it and i hope i have more time for zps then :D

    Hi folks,


    as the number of SoD members who play KF2 increases i want to help new players to get started and prevent noob mistakes :D


    General tips

    • dont buy armor for the early waves (without scrakes and fleshpounds), you dont really need it and as you usually still get hit several times its waste of money
    • heal your teammates: your medic device recharges way faster if you heal a teammate comparted to healing yourself
    • buy a medic pistol if you can carry it: it weighs only 1 block, does more damage than default 9mm and can be used to heal teamates from distance
    • zed target priority: 1. raged scrakes: always focus raged scrakes, once raged they wont calm down like flesh pounds do, run faster than every player and to tons of damage

    2. sirens (especially if they come along with flesh pounds): their screams ignore armor and destroy grenades, so kill them first before wasting grenades
    3. flesh pounds: their weekness are explosives, use grenades and your heaviest guns; they either rage when they take a certain amount of damage or randomly after a certain time; flesh pounds calm down after achieveing a certain amount of hits in raged mode
    4.husks: they are the only ones who can attack from far range and if they hit you they set you on fire too so take them out as fast as possible
    5. all trash zeds
    6. scrakes: if not raged they have the lowest priority, they just walk slowly towards the player and only attack if they get close; ensure that the coast is clear then take them out together; scrakes rage once their health is below the threshold and as above mentioned do not calm down again

    • warn your team if you spot a big zed: fp usually means flesh pound, sc means scrake
    • try to find a space with a low number of entrances but be aware that you need a escape route if you get overrun which can happen easily during higher waves

    Update:
    - another map has been confirmed: similar to the old farm/barn map in kf 1 there will be a new farm map (the forest map is more similar to the old kf_wyre map)^^
    - flashlights will be removed as weapon attachment -> replaced as Body attachment so everyone can use his flashlight with any weapon

    Lvl 5
    Shoot ‘n’ Scoot – Move faster while shooting and aiming down sights.
    Quick Draw – Faster weapon switching


    Lvl 10
    Rhythm Method – Each headshot will increase your damage
    Bone Breaking – Flat damage increase


    Lvl 15
    Speed-load’n – Faster reload
    Penetration – Additional penetration


    Lvl 20
    Center Mass – Increased stumble power with body shots
    Knockdown – Increased knockdown power when a sprinting zed is shot in the leg


    Lvl 25 zed time
    Fan Fire – Shoot faster in zed time
    Uber Ammo – Unlimited shooting without reloading in zed time


    the grenade of the gunslinger perk will be a nailbomb, sounds quite messy :D

    as some time has passed since the last big update it is time to look foward to the next one :D


    - The Gunslinger perk:


    This will be the "wild west" guy: using dual pistols to gun his enemies down. Dual 9mm pistols are already ingame and the other wepaons have been revealed recently:


    1. Model 1858 Revolver: popular revolver during the american civil war
    2. M1911: dont need to say much about this one
    3. Desert Eagle: everyone can remember the Handcannon of KF1 :D
    4. .500 Magnum Revolver: no clue how this will look like but it can deal with the largest zeds for sure


    - New map: Into the woods


    A new map has been confirmed here is a first screen shot:




    - Rework of the sounds:


    Most sounds will be redone, especially different parts of zeds (flesh, metal, etc) will get different sounds when being hit. This is just the first step for creating weak and tough parts for different zeds.
